Michael's journey to faith began during the summer of his freshman year at Texas A&M, when he was influenced by Ethan, a student leader and now a StuMo staff member. After choosing to follow Christ, Michael moved into his fraternity house and was ridiculed by his pledge brothers. They had partied with him the year before, and they were uncomfortable with the transformed man he had become—one who was now living for Jesus.
Despite the opposition, Michael faithfully followed Jesus and loved his fraternity brothers well. His persistence paid off: as time went on, his fraternity brothers began to see the joy and purpose that came from a life devoted to Jesus. Three years after making his own decision to follow Christ, Michael had the privilege of leading four of his pledge brothers to faith. He baptized them on campus last spring, an incredible moment that marked the fruit of his perseverance and love.
Michael is graduating with a mechanical engineering degree but is instead pursuing a future as a missionary overseas. He wants to take his transformed life from the halls of the Sigma Chi house to the unreached streets of the nations!
